I used the Ning Site, do I need to sign up again?
No, the new website does not have any members only areas at the moment, our social network is now hosted in a Facebook Group here.
Why was the Ning Site closed down?
The Type 21 Club Ning site was closed in June 2015. It cost around £150 a year to run the Ning website, when we started using it the service was free.
This new site will bring together the Ning and current Type 21 website into one online area for our membership and will use our Facebook Group for social networking.
This site is currently free until 2016 and has been donated, designed and built by Type 21 Club shipmate Richie Gough (Ardent & Avenger).
I have a question that is not shown here!
No problem, fill in the contact form below and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
What happened to the photographs & content on Ning?
Ning had no mechanisms to archive or migrate photographs & content to other sites so we could not move this anywhere. Since January 2015 this was advised on the main landing page of the Ning website and a broadcast message was sent to all members from the Ning site advising this and encouraged people to migrate to Facebook.
How do I join the Type 21 Club?
The 21-Club is open to all who served on any one of these superb ships.
Membership is free. Please complete the membership form: Membership Contact Form
When is the next reunion?
The next reunion is in Plymouth at the Crownhill Royal British Legion on Saturday 10 October 2015. Full details and costs will be published around July 2015.
