Update from David Woollard

The Memorial Appeal now stands at £2,494.26.

If you have already contributed then please don’t be shy in tweaking your oppos. If you haven’t yet contributed……….why not?

  • The main silver Devon granite pillar is being prepared and a slice removed for finishing and polishing ready for the Type 21 ship line engraving. This will later be cut to Oval and set into the front face of the pillar.
  • The black granite top/cap stone has arrived from India and is polished and ready for engraving.
  • The Common wealth War Graves Commission drawing office staff have our drawings in production and I expect a draft for review within the next few days.
  • The National Memorial Arboretum trustees meeting originally planned for July will now take place 12 August when we expect approval for our plans; and for which I need to send a cheque for £1,000.00!
