Hello and welcome to the new Type 21 Club website launched 11 October 2014 at the annual Plymouth reunion. This new site will eventually replace our original sites:
- https://www.type21club.org.uk/ – Core site
- http://type21club.ning.com/ – Social Networking Site
The website was switched on by our president Sir Ian pictured here with our webmaster Richie Gough. More news on this new site will be sent to all Type 21 Club shipmates in a newsletter soon.
Hi Richie,
Don’t know if I’m being a numpty but how do I get to login to the new web site? Old site works fine for me but New site doesn’t!
Hi Pete, there is no need to login to this website to use it at the moment, all the social media and chat is hosted on facebook in our group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/type21club/
Regards
Richie
dear sir
I was on HMS Alacrity from 1981-84. I left the Navy in 1996 and moved to the USA. How do i join the 21 club. I would like to now how to purchase a Royal Navy Veterans badge, could you help me pleasw
Please!
I am landlocked. I intend to build F169 HMS Amazon.
Being that Rawlins, Wyoming, USA has had a dry port for many years, my acquisition for archived photos is limited.
Would there be any crew member or historical liason that I to query about photos of the ship.
Best I have run across are not in good focus. I have no idea as to how I have such a fascination with natical, given that I am so far inland.
In building the ship model (Fleetscale 1/72nd semi kit) I prefer not to guess on what she may have been like in the day.
My interest:
Bridge interior.
Fore and Aft 20mm guns, photos & placement.
Colorization
Fore & Aft details, any photo, color, flag(s), masts, rigging.
ETC.
Would / is any of this information even possible to get for my ship build project??
Humbly and Regards
