London Remembrance Parade 2019

The 2019 Royal British Legion Remembrance Parade will take place at the Cenotaph, Whitehall on Sunday 10th November 2019.

*** The List is Now Closed, You Can Join the Reserve List ***

After trying for many years, we have successfully applied for the Association to march and have been allocated 60 tickets for this years ceremony. Derek Ross, the Type 21 Club Cenotaph Coordinator, is confident and hopeful that with the amount of members we have in the Association, we will be able to fulfill our allocation.

If you want to join the reserve list to march this year please contact Derek via the following contact form and please provide all the details requested. Security is a primary concern at this event and the Royal British Legion does require the information requested to process your ticket application.

If we receive no personal info then you will not make the list of attendees, the details will be on your tickets & you will also need to carry Photo ID on the day to support your tickets to gain entry onto horse guards.

RIG OF THE DAY
We are proposing that all attendees are all dressed the same. That will be Blazers and trousers or Suits if you prefer, and a Type 21 Club Association Tie. Ties can be purchased from the Type 21 Club Reunion this year, or if you are not attending the reunion, Please contact Paul Gower who runs slops. Berets are optional as are full sized medals. Ships crests may be on your blazer or the Type 21 crest.

As you will appreciate the majority of us are new to this, we know that some may have marched with other Associations in the past, but it is very much a learning curve this first year, Derek will publish at a later date, exact timings that we all need to be on parade and what to do after the event, I am still taking soundings from those that have experience from past parades.

Please keep an eye out on here for updates about the day and the list of members attending, but also keep an eye out on Facebook, it is on that that Derek finds it easier to keep people up to date, but obviously there are those who are not on Facebook so if you know of anyone please help out and keep them informed.
